Frequently asked questions
Can I wear this as an outer layer, or is it more of an indoor piece?
It works best as a light outer layer in cool weather — think 45 to 60 degrees. In real cold, wear it under a coat instead of on its own.
Will the zipper pull on my hair or scratch my chin?
The zipper stops well below the chin, so there's nothing at your throat. You can zip it all the way without it touching your skin.
Does it pill after a few washes?
Wash it cold and hang dry and it stays smooth. Skip the dryer and fabric softener — that's what roughs up fleece most.
Is it long enough to cover the back of leggings?
Yes. It runs 25 to 27 inches depending on size, which lands at or just past the hip.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
