Rushed Morning, Polished Look, Zero Effort

Some mornings you have about four minutes. You step into Suedeva, and that's it — no zipper, no tugging, no sitting on the edge of the bed.

The soft suede shaft falls into a natural slouch, and the opening is wide enough to pull on standing up.

The 5.5 cm kitten heel keeps you walking easy all day. You look like you planned the whole outfit.

The pointed toe runs narrow — go up half a size if your feet are wide

A polished look that’s easy to step into

✓ On your feet in under 5 seconds
No zippers, no laces, no hooks. The wide opening lets you step straight in and go, even standing up in the hallway.

✓ A low heel you can actually walk in
The 5.5 cm kitten heel lifts you just enough to look polished. Low and slim, so your feet still feel fine by evening.

✓ The slouch that stays elegant
Soft suede drapes down the shaft instead of standing stiff. It gives you that relaxed, lived-in line — not a collapsed boot.

✓ Two warm neutrals for fall
Both shades sit easily next to the coats and trousers already in your closet. Nothing new to match around.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wear these with thick socks?
A thin to medium sock works best, since the shaft is cut close to the ankle. Heavy wool socks may make the fit feel snug.

Will the suede handle a rainy day?
Suede does best when it stays dry. A suede protector spray before first wear helps a lot, and a soft brush brings the nap back after.

Does the slouch stay in place or fall flat?
The shaft is soft enough to drape but holds its shape through the day. If it flattens in storage, stand them upright or stuff the shaft with tissue.

Do the heels make noise on hard floors?
The slim heel has a quiet finish, so it won't clack like a hard pump. It's a soft step on tile and wood.

How to use

  • Stand and slide your foot straight in — no zipper to undo.
  • Let the suede shaft settle naturally around your ankle. Don't pull it taut.
  • Spray with a suede protector before first wear. Let it dry for about 30 minutes.
  • Brush the nap with a soft suede brush after a few wears to keep the texture even.

Specifications

  • Size: Foot length 8.9 to 10.6 inches (see size chart)
  • Material: Suede upper with a smooth lining and a low kitten heel

How to wash

  • Do not machine wash. Brush dry suede with a soft suede brush to lift the nap.
  • Spot clean with a suede eraser.
  • Air dry away from direct heat, and use a protector spray before wear.

Use the fit finder next to the size selector for a recommendation in a few seconds, or see the full measurement charts below.

Every product page has a fit finder next to the size selector — three questions, one recommendation, a few seconds. These charts are for anyone who would rather read the numbers.

How to measure

  • Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
  • Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
  • Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
  • Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.

Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut

  • Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
  • Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
  • Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
  • Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
  • Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

Still not sure?

Write to info@halstead.com with your usual size, your height and the piece you're looking at. We'll tell you what we would pick — usually within a few hours. We would far rather get it right the first time than process a return.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.

Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.

Full guidance is on our Materials & Care page.

Before you order

How is this cut — will it fit if I am between sizes?

Use Find my size next to the size buttons: three questions about your height, build and how you like things to sit, and it gives you a size you can add to the bag from the same window.

As a rule, knitwear is relaxed and softens with wear, so the smaller size is usually right. Outerwear is cut with room for a knit underneath. Dresses and tailoring sit closer, and there we suggest the larger of the two. The measurements for this exact piece are in the Size & fit tab above.

What is it actually made of?

The fibre composition for this piece is listed in the description and on the label inside the garment. We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather — and where a synthetic is blended in for stretch or structure, it is named rather than hidden behind a phrase like premium fabric.

How do I wash it without ruining it?

Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no fabric softener, dried flat and stored folded rather than on a hanger. Tailoring and structured coats go to a dry cleaner once or twice a season. Leather is wiped with a damp cloth and conditioned twice a year, never dried near a radiator.

The Materials & care tab above has the instructions for this piece specifically.

Is the colour true to the photographs?

The photographs are shot in daylight and retouched only for dust and creases, never for colour. That said, screens differ, and a deep navy or an olive can read warmer or cooler than it is on your particular monitor or phone.

If the exact shade matters, email info@halstead.com and we will describe it against something you already own — and if it still is not what you pictured, you have 90 days.

When will it arrive?

Two to four business days to pick, check and pack, then three to four business days in transit — five to eight business days in total, and shipping is free. You get a tracking link the moment it leaves the warehouse.

What if it is not right when it arrives?

You have 90 days from delivery, as long as the piece is unworn with the tags on. Email us with your order number and we send a printable return label the same business day.

Return postage is deducted from your refund — unless the piece arrived faulty or is not what you ordered, in which case we cover it in full.

Will my size come back if it sells out?

Not always. Collections are cut in limited runs for a season, so a sold-out colour or size may not return; some core pieces are made again the following year in a new palette. If you are waiting on a particular one, email us and we will tell you honestly whether it is coming back.

Do I save anything by ordering more than one piece?

Yes, and it applies on its own — there is no code to enter. Two pieces take 10% off, three take 15%, and four or more take 20%. The bag shows you how close you are as you add things.

Anything else, write to info@halstead.com — a person reads it, usually the same business day. We would far rather answer a question before you order than process a return afterwards.
