1950s Vintage Pink Off-Shoulder Button-Detail Fit-and-Flare Midi Dress
Grace in motion, straight from a golden-age romance.
This blush pink midi dress is pure vintage poetry — an off-the-shoulder neckline, a softly draped surplice bodice, and delicate covered buttons tracing an elegant asymmetric line to the waist. The full, swishing skirt falls into a dreamy tea-length silhouette, made for twirling down cobblestone streets.
Key Features
- Romantic off-the-shoulder neckline with a flattering V surplice front
- Decorative covered buttons for a couture-inspired detail
- Fitted, cinched waist that defines the figure
- Full fit-and-flare skirt with graceful tea-length movement
- Fully lined with a soft tulle underlayer for volume; hidden back zip
Fabric & Composition
- Main: 95% Polyester, 5% Spandex — a smooth, matte crepe with structured drape that holds the skirt's full shape
- Underlayer: Tulle (100% Polyester) for added volume
- Lining: 100% Polyester
Fit & Size
True to size. Fitted through the bodice and waist, full through the skirt. Model is 173cm / 5'8" and wears a size S. Length: approx. 100cm / tea-length, falls mid-calf. If between sizes, size up. Please refer to our Size Guide.
Styling Notes
Pair with nude or bow-embellished heels and pearl drop earrings for classic vintage glamour — perfect for weddings, garden parties, and romantic evenings. Add a cropped bolero or faux-fur stole for cooler occasions.
Care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, or dry clean. Do not bleach. Hang to dry. Cool iron on low; steam to release creases from the skirt.

Every product page has a fit finder next to the size selector — three questions, one recommendation, a few seconds. These charts are for anyone who would rather read the numbers.
How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.
Still not sure?
Write to info@halstead.com with your usual size, your height and the piece you're looking at. We'll tell you what we would pick — usually within a few hours. We would far rather get it right the first time than process a return.
We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
