Frequently asked questions
Can I wear these outside, or are they just for indoors?
Both. The rubber outsole is made for walking outside on sidewalks and driveways. Many people wear them for short errands and then keep them on at home.
Will they stay on my feet while I walk?
Yes. The footbed cups your heel and arch, so your foot sits in place instead of sliding forward. Take normal steps and they stay put.
Can I wear socks with them?
Yes. Thin or medium socks work well and add extra warmth on cold days. Very thick wool socks may feel snug.
Are they heavy like winter boots?
No. They're much lighter than boots, so your legs feel less tired after a long day.

How to wash
Spot clean the canvas with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash or bleach. Air dry away from direct heat.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
