Frequently asked questions
Can I wear a thick sweater under it?
Yes. The drop-shoulder batwing sleeves are cut wide on purpose, so a chunky knit fits without pulling at the arms or shoulders.
Does it close all the way up the front?
It's a double-breasted coat, so it buttons closed across the chest. Most women wear it open for the layered look, but it fastens shut when you want the extra warmth.
Will it wrinkle in a suitcase?
The brushed polyester blend holds its shape well and drops most creases after a few hours on a hanger.
Is the collar stiff or does it fold soft?
It's a soft shawl collar. It folds naturally against the neck instead of standing up rigid, which is what gives the coat its relaxed shape.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
