Oversized On Purpose — The Lantern Sleeve Shows It
Your black jeans and plain top are fine. This is the layer that makes them look done.
The polka dots read playful, not costume, because the shape is so clearly intentional.

Lantern sleeves gather at the cuff, so the volume looks styled instead of oversized by accident.
You get room to move all day, and an outfit that finally looks like you meant it.
Hits 21.5 Inches At Size S — It Stops At The Hip, Not Mid-Thigh
✓ Turns plain basics into a real outfit
Throw it over the same jeans and tee you always wear. One layer, and the whole look changes.

✓ Volume that looks styled, not sloppy
The lantern sleeves gather at the cuff instead of hanging loose. That one detail is why the oversized cut reads deliberate.

✓ Room to move from morning to night
The relaxed body never pulls across your back or shoulders. Reach, drive, carry bags — nothing binds.

✓ Light enough for in-between weather
Soft polyester that's warm over a tee but never heavy. Perfect for the eight weeks when a coat is too much.

✓ The jacket people ask you about
Polka dots in a soft, easy color mix. It stands out without shouting, which is exactly why it gets noticed.

Frequently asked questions
Can I push the sleeves up, or do the cuffs get in the way?
The gathered cuff sits close to the wrist, so the sleeve pushes up and stays put. It won't slide back down every few minutes.
Does it work over a sweater, or only a tee?
The relaxed body leaves room for a thin sweater underneath. A thick chunky knit will feel snug, especially through the sleeves.
Will it wrinkle in the package?
Polyester bounces back fast. Hang it up for an hour or two and the creases drop out on their own.
Is it warm enough for real fall weather?
It's a light layer, not a coat. Great for cool mornings and breezy evenings, but you'll want something heavier once it's truly cold.

Use the fit finder next to the size selector for a recommendation in a few seconds, or see the full measurement charts below.
Every product page has a fit finder next to the size selector — three questions, one recommendation, a few seconds. These charts are for anyone who would rather read the numbers.
How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.
Still not sure?
Write to info@halstead.com with your usual size, your height and the piece you're looking at. We'll tell you what we would pick — usually within a few hours. We would far rather get it right the first time than process a return.
We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
