Same Jeans. Same Tee. Outfit Finished.
You pull on the same jeans and tee you always wear.
Then you add this jacket, and the whole thing looks done.
The cut is boxy on purpose, with raglan sleeves and a plaid lining tucked inside — structured on the outside, finished where only you can see it.

It skims instead of clings, so it sits easy over a sweater or a dress.
One layer, and the outfit you already own looks like you planned it.
Cut to 25 inches at the shoulder — it ends at the hip, not mid-rib.
✓ Finishes your outfit in one layer
Jeans and a tee stop looking basic the second this goes over them. Nothing else to add, nothing to fuss with.

✓ Boxy cut that skims, not clings
The relaxed shape gives you room through the middle instead of pulling. Layer a sweater underneath and it still hangs clean.

✓ A hidden plaid lining only you see
Most cropped jackets stop at the shell. This one is finished inside with plaid, so the open front and folded cuffs look intentional.

✓ Light enough for 55-degree mornings
Smooth polyester blocks wind without the bulk of a puffer. Perfect for the weeks when a cardigan is too little and a coat is too much.

Frequently asked questions
Does the plaid lining show when the jacket is closed?
No, the plaid sits on the inside, so you only see it when the front is open or the cuffs are folded back. Closed up, it reads as a clean solid jacket.
Can I wear this with a dress or a skirt?
Yes, because it ends at the hip, it works over dresses and skirts without cutting the line awkwardly. It sits above the hem instead of fighting with it.
Will it wrinkle in the package?
Some light creasing is normal from folding. Hang it for a few hours and the polyester relaxes back into shape on its own.
Does it have pockets?
Yes, there are side pockets on the front of the jacket — enough for your keys and phone on a quick errand.

Every product page has a fit finder next to the size selector — three questions, one recommendation, a few seconds. These charts are for anyone who would rather read the numbers.
How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.
Still not sure?
Write to info@halstead.com with your usual size, your height and the piece you're looking at. We'll tell you what we would pick — usually within a few hours. We would far rather get it right the first time than process a return.
We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
