Frequently asked questions
Can I wear it as a jacket on its own, or is it more of an indoor layer?
Both. The full zip and drawstring hood make it work outside on cool mornings. Indoors, unzip it and it wears like a long cardigan.
Does the hood stay up in wind, or does it fall back?
The drawstring lets you tighten it around your face, so it stays put. Loosen it and the hood sits flat against your back.
Are the pockets sewn into the sides or patched on?
They're side pockets at the hip, angled so your hands slide in naturally. Deep enough to hold a phone without it slipping out when you sit.
What should I wear underneath it?

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
