Frequently asked questions
Can I wear the hood up on both sides?
Yes. The hood is attached and works the same no matter which side you wear out. Just flip the coat and the hood goes with it.
Will the inside look finished when I reverse it?
Yes. Both sides are made to be worn on the outside, so you won't see raw seams or exposed labels.
Is it long enough to cover a dress or skirt?
It falls between 41.5 and 43.5 inches depending on size, which covers the knee on most women. Over leggings or a midi dress, it sits right where you'd want it.
Can I wear a sweater underneath?
Yes. The body is cut with room for a knit layer. Check your bust measurement against the chart before you order.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
