Frequently asked questions
Does the leopard lining show when the coat is closed?
Only at the cuffs. Turn them back and the print sits right at your wrists. Closed and cuffs down, it reads as a solid velvet coat.
Can I wear this with jeans, or is it only for events?
Both. Over a dress it feels formal. Over jeans and boots it turns a plain outfit into something finished.
Will the velvet crease from being folded in the package?
Velvet can arrive with soft fold marks. Hang it for a day and they drop out. A steamer on low speeds it up.
Is one button enough to hold it closed?
The button sits at the waist and holds the coat in place. Below that it falls open, which is how the shape is meant to move.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
