Frequently asked questions
Can you tighten the drawstring enough if you're at the smaller end of a size?
Yes. The drawstring pulls in and ties off, so you're not stuck at the widest point of the size. Match your waist to the chart first, then adjust from there.
Does the drawstring come out in the wash?
It's stitched in place at the center, so it won't pull free. Tie it loosely before washing so the ends don't tangle.
Where does the hem land?
Total length runs 39.5 to 41.5 inches depending on size, with a 28 to 29 inch inseam. On most women that sits at or just above the ankle.
Can I wear a belt with these?
You won't need one — the drawstring does that job. There are no belt loops on the waistband.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.
