Frequently asked questions
Can I wear it buttoned up, or is it meant to hang open?
Both. Buttoned, it reads more like a light jacket. Open, it drapes long and lean over whatever you have on.
Does the hood lie flat, or does it bunch up at the back?
It lies soft and flat against your upper back. It won't push at your collar or sit stiff behind your neck.
Is it warm enough on its own in fall?
On mild fall days, yes. When it drops closer to freezing, it works better as a layer under a coat.
Will it look too casual with dress pants?
Not in the deeper shades. Buttoned over a simple top, it reads relaxed but polished enough for the office.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
