Effortless Polish In One Easy Jacket
You want to look put-together without trying so hard. This jacket does the work for you.
The soft suede-like surface catches the light in a way plain cotton never will. Contrast buttons down the front add a finished touch that makes relaxed trousers look styled.

Throw it on, and the whole outfit lifts.
Fits bust 32.5 to 44.5 inches across the size chart, with room to layer a tee underneath
A polished look, made easy to wear
✓ Look styled in under 10 seconds
One layer over what you already own. The suede-like texture and lapel collar do the styling for you, so you skip the mirror debate.

✓ Soft enough to wear all day
The polyester has a smooth, brushed hand that feels good against your arms. No scratch, no stiffness, no counting the hours until you can take it off.

✓ The front detail other jackets skip
Most casual jackets are plain and flat. Contrast buttons run down the front here, which is the small thing that makes people ask where you got it.

✓ Skims your shape instead of hiding it
Cut slightly relaxed, not boxy. It follows your waist without clinging, and leaves room for a thin sweater when the morning turns cold.

Frequently asked questions
Can I wear this in light rain?
It handles a few sprinkles fine, but the suede-like surface is not waterproof. For steady rain, reach for a coat instead.
Does the texture flatten over time?
The brushed surface holds up well with normal wear. Hang it instead of folding it to keep the nap looking even.
Is it warm enough for fall?
It works best as a style layer for cool days in the 50s and 60s. Add a thin sweater underneath when temperatures drop lower.
Can I wear the buttons open?
Yes. Open, it drapes long and lean over jeans. Buttoned, it reads more polished for dinner or the office.

Every product page has a fit finder next to the size selector — three questions, one recommendation, a few seconds. These charts are for anyone who would rather read the numbers.
How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.
Still not sure?
Write to info@halstead.com with your usual size, your height and the piece you're looking at. We'll tell you what we would pick — usually within a few hours. We would far rather get it right the first time than process a return.
We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
