Frequently asked questions
Can I wear my own orthotic insoles in these?
Yes. The factory insole lifts out, so you can drop in your own. The wide forefoot leaves room for a thicker insert.
Will my heel slip if I go up half a size?
The padded collar hugs the back of the foot and the laces let you tighten the midfoot. Pull the laces snug through the top eyelets to lock the heel in place.
Are these okay for standing on hard floors all day?
Yes. The cushioned insole and flexible sole take the sting out of concrete and tile. Many wearers use them for work shifts and errand days.
How do I clean them?
Wipe the PU upper with a damp cloth and a drop of mild soap. Let them air dry away from direct heat.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
