Frequently asked questions
Will it work on a curved or spiral staircase?
Yes. Because each section ties on at its own point, it follows the curve of the rail instead of fighting it. Straight, curved, and landing rails all work.
Can I still hold the handrail normally?
Yes. Attach it along the outer or lower side of the rail and your grip stays clear. Most people keep the top of the rail open and let the snowy detail hang just below.
What if my staircase is longer than one set?
Order two and tie them together end to end. The attachment style lets them join without an obvious seam, so it still reads as one scene.
Do the lights stay on all evening?
Yes, they're made for long evening use. Many people run them from late afternoon until bedtime through the whole season.
How to use
- Step 1: Start at the bottom post and tie the first attachment point to the rail.
- Step 2: Work upward, securing each point every foot or so. Keep the tension even so the scene sits level.
- Step 3: Adjust the trees, snow and penguins so they face the room. Takes 1–2 minutes per section.
- Step 4: Tuck the cord along the underside of the rail and plug in.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
