Frequently asked questions
Does the light stay on the setting I picked after I unplug it?
Yes. Glowveil remembers your last mode and brightness. Plug it back in and it comes on the way you left it.
Can I run two of these side by side for a wider window?
You can. Each set has its own plug, so you'll want an outlet or power strip within reach of both. Hang them edge to edge for one continuous sheet of light.
Does the app need to stay open for the schedule to work?
No. Once the schedule is saved to the controller, it runs on its own. Your phone can be off or out of the house.
What holds it up?
The top strand is designed to be hung from a hook, nail, rod, or railing. Most people use small adhesive hooks indoors and zip ties outdoors on a railing.
How to use
- Step 1: Hang the top strand along your railing, rod, or window frame and let the strands fall straight down.
- Step 2: Plug the USB into any standard USB power source. Keep the plug and controller under cover if you're outdoors.
- Step 3: Pair the controller with the app, or use the remote. Pick your color and mode — takes about a minute.
- Step 4: Set a daily on and off time in the app so it lights up at dusk without you touching it.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
