Frequently asked questions
Can I wear this on its own, or does it need a layer underneath?
Both work. The knit is substantial enough to wear alone on a mild day, and there's enough room through the body for a tee or thin long-sleeve underneath.
Does the zipper pull sit flat, or will it catch on a necklace?
The pull is small and lies flat against the collar. Most people wear it unzipped a few inches, which keeps it well below a standard necklace.
Will it keep its color after washing?
Washed cold with like colors, the polyester knit holds its color well. Hot water and high-heat drying are what fade synthetic knits fastest, so skip both.
Is it warm enough for fall and early winter?
It's a mid-weight layer. On its own it's right for cool fall days; under a coat it works through colder months without adding bulk.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
