Frequently asked questions
Can I wear these in warm weather?
Yes. The polyester is smooth and lightweight, so it doesn't trap heat the way heavy denim does. Pair them with a tee for spring and summer days.
Will the drawstring stay tied during the day?
It holds well once you knot it. The elastic waistband does most of the work, so the drawstring is there for fine-tuning rather than holding everything up.
Are the flap pockets closed or open?
They have flaps over the top, which helps keep your phone and keys from sliding out when you sit or bend. Slip items in from under the flap.
Do they wrinkle in a suitcase?
Not much. The polyester bounces back after being folded, so they're an easy choice for travel days.

How to measure
- Bust / chest. Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed at your sides.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
- Hips. Around the fullest part, roughly 8 in below the waist.
- Inseam. From the crotch seam to the floor, in the shoes you'll wear the trousers with.
Measure over the underwear you'd normally wear, not over clothing. Keep the tape snug but not tight.

How our pieces are cut
- Dresses are cut true to size. If you are between sizes, take the smaller one — most of our dresses have ease through the waist.
- Coats and jackets are cut with room for a knit underneath. Take your usual size; size up only if you layer heavily.
- Knitwear is relaxed by design. Between sizes, take the smaller one unless you want an oversized look.
- Trousers and jeans run true to size. Between sizes, take the larger one.
- Shoes run true to size. If you have a wide foot, take half a size up.

We work in natural fibres — wool, cashmere, cotton, linen and full-grain leather.
Knitwear: cold hand wash or a wool cycle at 30 °C, no softener, dried flat and stored folded.
Coats: dry clean once or twice a season, stored on a broad wooden hanger.
Leather: wipe with a damp cloth, condition twice a year, never dry near heat.
